Treatment for Patients 18+
Licensed in NY, NJ, CT, and PA
Whether you're looking to start talk therapy, medication, or both, we'll always begin with a comprehensive new patient assessment to understand what’s going on and what you need. These sessions typically last 60–90 minutes depending on your history and the complexity.
From the start, you can expect a warm, detail-oriented experience. I consider not just your mental health symptoms, but your medical history, past treatment, family background, lifestyle, and daily habits.
Once your evaluation is complete (which may take more than one visit), I will develop personalized treatment recommendations based on your goals and what will create the most meaningful and lasting progress.
What You Can Expect
After your initial evaluation, you’ll receive thoughtful treatment recommendations tailored to your needs. These may include psychotherapy, medication, lifestyle changes, or referrals to other specialists.
We’ll work collaboratively to create a plan that:
Fits your current capacity
Sets realistic, attainable goals
Provides clear, actionable steps toward change
This is a team-based process. Together, we’ll build a plan that feels manageable, effective, and aligned with your life. The last thing I’d want to do is overwhelm you, when you already face such overwhelm in your life.
What Changes When You Get the Right Support
Clarity & Understanding
We take a structured, in-depth look at what you’re experiencing so you can better understand your symptoms, patterns, and what’s contributing to them, without having to piece it together on your own.
More Direction, Less Guesswork
Instead of feeling stuck or unsure what to do next, you’ll have clear next steps and practical strategies that help you respond differently and move forward in a way that actually works.
Real Progress You Can Feel
This work is focused on meaningful, measurable change: improvements in how you think, feel, and function day to day, not just temporary relief.
Who is assessment and treatment for?
This work is for individuals who feel like something isn’t working the way it should, and want a clearer understanding of why, along with a plan for what to do next.
This may be especially helpful if you:
Feel stuck in patterns (whether in relationships, work, or daily habits) that you haven’t been able to change
Keep trying to manage things on your own, but aren’t seeing the progress you expected
Feel overwhelmed, reactive, or unsure how to regulate your emotions in the moment
Find yourself overthinking, second-guessing, or feeling unclear about what direction to take
Are dealing with anxiety, mood changes, or stress that’s starting to impact your daily life
Know something needs to change, but aren’t sure where to start
Some real-life benefits to treatment
By working together, we can help you:
Feel more confident in your decisions instead of constantly second-guessing yourself
Communicate more effectively and feel less reactive in your relationships
Improve focus, follow-through, and your ability to handle day-to-day responsibilities
Make meaningful progress in areas that have felt stuck, whether that’s work, relationships, or daily routines
Manage stress, anxiety, or mood changes in a way that feels more controlled and predictable

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Assessments can last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the complexity of your case, history, and current needs.
-
Sometimes I'm able to make treatment recommendations after meeting just once. Other times, I may ask you to return for a second evaluation visit so that we can wrap-up what we were talking about and I can formulate a stronger, better-informed treatment plan for you.
-
No, I do not always recommend medication for new patients. I tailor my recommendations to your specific needs, which may include psychotherapy alone, medication, both, or neither. I may recommend follow-up with other specialties, changes to lifestyle, or specific types of therapy outside of my scope.
-
You have the right to a second opinion if you don't like, agree, or feel comfortable with my recommendations for your care. I am always happy to provide a referral to another clinician if you feel we are not the right fit for each other.
-
I do not accept insurance. I am an out-of-network provider. If you have out-of-network benefits, I'm happy to provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based care, but more personable, direct, and transparent than what many people expect from a provider. I communicate clearly and avoid unnecessary jargon or medical language that can feel confusing or inaccessible.
I’m straightforward without being clinical or detached; you’ll always understand my assessment, the options available, and what each path forward could look like.
This patient-centered approach comes from years of bedside experience, where I learned how to communicate in a way that is both respectful and practical. My goal is to make sure you feel informed, understood, and confident in the decisions we make together.
